6 Weeks!

This fetus looks like a crazy little creature! And yes, that is a tail that you see :)

Baby Center's weekly update:
This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil.

Everyone's telling me this is the week that it all hits you (nausea, fatigue...), we'll see!

It's just the beginning

I am almost 6 weeks, which makes our due date is October 24. Yup, this could be a Halloween baby :) So far I am feeling good, mostly I find myself starving and in need of a nap here and there. Oh, and I am freezing cold all the time! The biggest change has been not driving...a HUGE thanks goes out to Andrew and the Mackey's for shuttling me around!!!
We are anxious for our first appointment/ultrasound (Fri March 23), it feels so far away :(

Letting the Family in on a little secret :)

Barney (left) & Spike (right) are going to be Big Brothers! Andrew and I found out on Friday February 17 that we are pregnant. On Wednesday the 29th we will finally get the chance to tell all of our immediate family, that day can't come soon enough!!!

First post ever!

Our idea for the blog is to inform everyone of what's going on in our lives without bogging up your Facebook, e-mail, and texts! Don't worry, I'm sure you will still get some of that, this blog will just get much more personal :) We can't wait to share pictures and stories with all of you!
