Gracie Jenna O'Neal

Yup, I gave in. Gracie Jenna O'Neal will be the name we are screaming from November until the the day I die. I was writing Nikke's abby shower card and referred to our baby as "Gracie" for the first time and then signed her name as well. I gave it to Andrew to read...I got a "that's nice" response. I asked him to read it 2 more times, still nothing. Finally he admits he wasn't really reading it, after the 4th time he finally got the hint that I decided to go with Gracie. And then he panicked. "Maybe we should think this through more, are you sure that's what we want? Maybe we should sit on it for a bit" WTF? None of those questions made sense to me. I said nope, it is decided, she will survive with whatever name we choose :)

Regardless of the name, Andrew can't wait to see her. He decided that he wants to see her NOW and he can't handle waiting to see what she's going to look like. I assured him that this is a normal feeling, but I'm not sure I convinced him. The other night while I was spooning Andrew, Gracie decided to get a little wild and kick Andrew in the back all night. I slept through the whole thing but it sounded like Andrew was up for quite a while :)

Boise was a great time and I'm so glad I was able to go to Nikke's shower. It made me ansy and I can;t wait for my shower now! After Boise, we headed to Eagle crest for the week. We definitely needed the time away, but the kids here are psycho and annoying. If I hear one more kid screaming "WATCH ME WATCH ME WATCH ME" I will probably attempt to drown them. Andrew and I are becoming more and more exzcited about the idea of a girl. These boys at the pool here are crazy, seriously loud and SUPER annoying. The girls are just a little annoying. I wish you could buy patience. That's what I will be asking for for Christmas!

NURSERY FURNITURE has arrived! that is our task this weekend. Which means lots of pictures next week!

31 Week Update:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin. She's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
Your baby is starting to shed the lanugo, the coating of body hair, and the hair on its head is getting thicker.

oops forgot the 30 week:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20. Its becoming more sensitive to light and can distinguish between sunlight and artificial light. Its eyes can also move in its sockets and your baby is more attuned to sound, taste and smell. Her lungs are working at near optimal levels.
